I was having a smoke with The Devil this morning. He told me he was ready to destroy the world. I asked him why and he said, “Because anymore there’s no truth.” I said, “Devil, there is no truth:things are either interesting or tedious.” He laughed, fortunately, because life is short and death is tacky. I said, “Devil, this is a matter of life and nausea. Take your giddy ass and bother someone else.” Then we kissed.
