Today, in 1215, King John put his seal on the Magna Carta. It was intended to limit the King’s wardrobe, but because of the free bar it ultimately limited the king’s power. For instance, the King could no longer playfully refer to his nobles as “flathead.” The document also stipulated that Mel Gibson could not make a movie about the King but if a movie was made by someone else King John would be played by Rory Calhoun.
