Jack Rabbits

Jack Rabbits

All the potheads are just tolerating life
And the pot makes ‘em dumb
Dumb enough to get by
Just like republicans are dumb
Conspiracy theorists are dumb
And religious people and weathermen
And entrepreneurs and jack rabbits
And because they’re dumb they think they’re sharp
But they are dumb

Too dumb to know a bad thing when they see it
Too dumb for therapy
Too dumb to be self-destructive
Though I have seen quite a few jack rabbits
Dash themselves to blind death
Under the wheels of a speeding car
So maybe the jack rabbits
Are not so dumb
