I was feeling the shakes…the dark ones…

By Seamus O'Sparks on July 13, 2016 — 1 min read

I was feeling the shakes…the dark ones…the ones that come from the basement of that rotten palace of wisdom. I was shakey(sic) and picking up refuse and filling a wheelbarrow and it was hotter than Oscar Wilde with a hard-on for Ganymede. Sun and debris and detox and the stink of heat on garbage and the witches on your back. I saw a snake slither out of a pile of dead leaves and underneath the sere brush. And that’s when I heard this song…I think D.B. Cooper was blaring it from his hideout deep in the woods. Who knows…but I sure as shit heard this song. I heard it loud. Maybe it wasn’t D.B. Cooper rockin’ the jams…maybe it was God…maybe the Devil. IN any case-it spoke to me. And I thought about Peter Green and how he went and went and went. Peter Green and how he went for the blues and how he went to the top and how he went stark raving mad…and so I went on thinking and then I went back to gathering trash.
