My response to a Scottish friend regarding Donald Trump: If you’ve ever had indigestion then you know as much about American politics as anyone else does. I’m glad to see that the Donald is as amusing to you all, across the pond, as he is to many of us here. If he wins the election then I suppose that will confirm what the rest of the world has long suspected: that we are a nation of star-spangled werewolves. That may concern some folks and embarrass many. Not me… I figure every society is due at least one Caligula in its time. And should that deal go down, I’m prepared with about twenty cases of raw tequila, a copy of “Humble Pie’s Greatest Hits” and miles and miles of the great southwestern American desert in which to get naked and weird and ride out the storm. Just me and the gila monsters and a million degrees of sunshine. 🙂
