Do you know how many versions of the song, “Last Christmas” there are? 139. That’s right-there are 139 versions of that delightfully tender Yuletide classic. And I think I heard every single one of them at work yesterday. It’s hard to imagine anyone being able to improve upon Wham’s original heart blown opus. A few come pretty close. 139 versions. I may do my own version of it, something like–Last Christmas, I heard “Last Christmas” so much, that they very next day I blew out my brains–You know, put my own little spin on it. Why not: the world is burning; chaos, mass shootings, madness, mean atavistic religious fervor, Donald Trump, toothaches, bowel obstructions, lurking death, screaming victims, Last Christmas 139 versions…
