On this day in 565, the first reported sighting of The Loch Ness Monster took place. Of course there was a lot less incredulity with respect to monsters in 565. Most people get real uptight these days when you broach the subject of cryptids. Here’s an example of what I’m talking about: After a Chasca show I was talking to these two attractive couples. And we were chatting about this and that. And …I brought up the subject of cryptozoology. And they were like, hmmm-not too sure what that’s all about. And I suggested that we get a motel room and get naked and talk about mystery primates and globsters and play “spot the boy.” And they gave me a very stinky eye and slithered off with righteous indignance. I think you people need to lighten up when it comes to unknown creatures and the paranormal. IT’S ALL JUST A HOOT REALLY. A kinky squealing hoot.
